Collection: Leslie A. Fiedler

Born in Newark, NJ, Leslie A. Fiedler (1917—2003) was an American literary critic, novelist, and poet during the height of the Cold War. After serving as a military cryptologist and Japanese interpreter during World War II, Fiedler finished his education at Harvard University and taught at Montana State University. He then became a professor of English at SUNY Buffalo. His most famous work is Love and Death in the American Novel.
